Mission Trips

2025 Zhytomyr--Seminar

During the conference, we explored the profound impact of sharing Jesus' light, a recurring theme that reinforced our divinely guided work. This theme naturally emerged throughout the week, influencing conversations and morning devotions, and culminated in a meaningful gift for all participants and team members, serving as a powerful reminder that we embody Jesus' light. Susan Habegger  led a pivotal discussion on the often-overlooked yet vital topic of ministering to children at their level, rather than trying to elevate them to ours. Her insightful exploration of identity in Christ had a profound impact, with one attendee experiencing a life-changing realization of their unshakeable identity despite adversity. Jeffrey Bergmann's  presentation on self-care emphasized the importance of aligning body and mind, highlighting the interconnectedness of physical and mental well-being. He led the group in a transformative exercise of deep breathing and stress reduction, empowering them to nurture their inner selves and, in turn, more effectively support others.

2025 Zhytomyr--Hospitals

At the hospitals, the team faced significant challenges, engaging with patients experiencing higher levels of trauma. Undeterred, they remained committed to radiating God's love and light, aspiring to leave a lasting impact. Despite the difficulties, their efforts were met with remarkable receptivity, with the hospital administrator inviting Pastor Andrii to continue this vital ministry. The hospital graciously permitted the release of photos, capturing the essence of the need for this ministry.

2025 Lviv--Seminar

Once the seminar in Zhytomyr was over. Susan Habegger and her Thrive Life Skills ministry headed to Lviv.  These men and women were amazing participants in “When the Military Comes Home” Seminar over 3 days. They worked hard and the “thank you’s” took my breath away.  “These were truths and tools that we needed. We are inspired!” (*Susan Habegger)

In the evening, Susan had a women’s seminar with a group of women whose husbands are stationed at the front. She shared the story of Naomi (from Ruth), encouraged them that through hard times God gives us a new song that will be different but still beautiful, and emphasized “God sees you. God knows you. God loves you.”

2025 Mykolaiv--Seminar

Once we left Zhytomyr, Holding Ukraine sent Jeff Bergmann to Mykolaiv for more ministry work. We had met Pastor Vitaliy last year and were deeply moved by his unwavering passion for the community and people of Mykolaiv. Partnering with his church was an easy decision, as his dedication to providing fresh water to his neighbors and his vibrant youth and young adult ministry stood out as one of the strongest and largest in the city.

When we first started discussing the conference, we hoped for 20 attendees. Given the proximity of the fighting, the numerous checkpoints, and the general unease about traveling through the area, our hopes were high, but our expectations were modest. However, once the seminar began, Jeff was blessed with an average of 90 attendees each day! Praise God!

Jeff was able to pray with some pastors hunted by Russian assassins. I have learned the details from Christians persecuted by Russians in occupied territory inside Ukraine.

Much pain has been processed, many tears shed, and many stories of God’s protection and provision have blessed each of us and brought glory to our God.
